A faint drizzle fell from the cloudy grey sky as a small russet she-cat padded through the dense forest. The water speckled her ticked sorrel pelt. Maplepaw quickly trotted forward with her tail held low, tufted ears alert to any noise. /I really hope I can get this over with quickly. The Black Feathers might be lurking nearby. I wish I could just go back to camp./ Her anxiety eased somewhat as she continued on and her tufted ears heard nothing but the soft patter and swish of rain and wind through the new leaves, and frequent chirps from the area's birds. She loved the sound of birdsong- and perhaps it meant a meal for her Clan. A plump brow
